What is Black?
Black it is, A cold dark night
The darkest
hour,
Right before light
An old cold
house,
All creaky-scary,
And spooky-late
It’s two A.M.
And you’re still awake
Had too much coffee
At nine o’clock
There’s nobody home
Tick tock, Tick tock
The darkest
hour
Right before dawn,
But day will be coming
Before too long
Day will be
coming,
No sleep has been had,
You will be seeing in shades of grey
But try as it might,
So hard, all night
The black cannot keep
The light away
Black isn’t forever
